Not Riding Into the Sunset…

By Tom Johnson - Past Chapter President (2023 - 2024)

I always feel a sense of pride and nerves when I climb on my machine.  You turn it on and hear it rumble, and you let it get warm.  What an exhilarating feeling.  Trying not to think of the day's destination but just the ride.  Seeing all the bikes behind you was a feeling I can never describe.

Wow, what a season!!!

President Tom Johnson Leading a Meeting

Everyone couldn't wait to see what the season would be, and I don't think no one was disappointed.  Being President & Ride Captain is a hard job, juggling between them.  But I survived. I don't know how, but I did.  I was President of this group for two whole years.  This group is everything to me and still is.  I would ride anywhere with these riders. If we headed somewhere for lunch or off to see cows, chickens, or whatever the imagination could see,  This was my last year as President of the fantastic group, but I won't leave it anytime soon.

So, I say this to all the riders for the 2025 season and beyond: Don't worry about where we are going; just where we have been. I wish all the riders and fellow officers in this group a very Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year.

I'll see you in 2025!!!!!!
