Chapter Sets Memorial Brick
By Kevin Irwin - Chapter President
The Ohio Veternans Memorial Park located in Clinton, Ohio has been a special destination for our Chapter for many years. The Ohio Veterans’ Memorial Park is constructed of many monuments honoring our Heroes. The flag-ship of the park is the Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Wall.
This breath taking memorial park is a short 20 minutes away from our regular meeting location. We visit it annually to commerate the events of 9/11. We have a number of veterans in our chapter, many who were affected by the events of 9/11. Last year, the goup in attendance decided to pass the helmet for a collection to purchse a brick for the walkway.
Tom Johnson spearheaded that purchase and I am happy to report that the brick has been placed. We are planning to visit the brick on our Memorial Day Ride on Sunday, May 25th. Click here —> Memorial Day RIde
To find the stone walk into the middle path towards the flagpole and it is located to the right. The 8x8 stone is located in the walkway near the American Legion Riders Chapter granite stone.
Thank-you to all who donated and a special thanks to Tom Johnson for making it happen.
