Axe Throwing Outing

Update: Dinner will now be at Palombo’s Italian Restaurant.

If you were at our Holiday Dinner in December, you know that in line with the results of our year-end membership survey, your officers are planning some off-season social events to include our other halves.  Our first event is a doozy.  We’re gonna go throw some axes (think darts, but with big blades) at All American Axe Throwing at 4125 Mahoning Road NE in Canton on Saturday, January 22nd at 4:00 pm.  We have two “lanes” reserved, and the facility will provide all the instruction we need.  What better way to deal with that winter angst…after all, at some point we all run out of chrome to polish!  The cost is $30/person, which is discounted to $25/person if we have 16 or more people (all to be paid upon arrival), so the more the merrier.  Lumberjack attire is not required, but all participants must be at least 15 years old and must wear closed-toe shoes (apparently the axes can bounce back a bit).  Everyone must also sign a waiver (we’ll send it to you when you RSVP).  There is limited seating for spectators if your other half just wants to watch, but you must pay to play!  We’ll wrap up around 6:00, at which point we’ll put down the blades, double-check that we all still have ten toes and head to the Palombo’s Italian Restaurant (near the intersection of Portage and Whipple) for dinner (All American Axe Throwing has beverages, but not food).

By the way, if the axe you’d like to grind, so to speak, is your own you’re welcome to do so… oh, yeah and All American Axe Throwing in Canton is inside the Factory of Terror, as if axe throwing wasn’t scary enough!
