2023 Survey Results
By Kevin Irwin - Dir. Communications / Webmaster
For the past two years, Chapter officers have used surveys to collect member feedback and to guide improvements and planning for the following season.
This year's survey asked questions to assess communications, GPS usage, the waiver signing process, and the group riding experience. We also collected open-ended feedback on ideas for winter meetings and things we should keep doing or stop doing.
The year's big takeaways are that communications are excellent and the ride-day waiver sign-in process needs to be improved.
The satisfaction with chapter communications is good to hear. Our officers spend a lot of time creating the content on the website and facilitating the weekly ride reminders/reschedule/cancellations. This communication would not be possible without the generous support of Bair's Indian Motorcycle, who pay for our website and email services. Thank you, Jeana, Brad, and Clay!
Regarding the ride-day waiver signing process, the officers feel your pain! For registered members, find a way to reduce redundant data collection on the day of the ride yet meet Indian Motorcycle's need for a wet signature. Improving this process will be a top priority for the officers before the kickoff ride in 2024.
You will see in the presentation that I attempted to consolidate all of the open-ended feedback into key phrases or words and load them into a word cloud generator. The tool generates a picture by rendering the most often-used words in more extensive or bolder fonts. It seemed like a good idea, but the sample size was insufficient to render good art. You can judge for yourself!
I presented the results at the Christmas Party, and you can access the presentation by clicking here --> 2023 Survey Results.
Thank you to the over two dozen individuals who took the time to answer the survey.
