Successful Kickoff Ride Honored Mike Johnston

By Kevin Irwin

As part of our kickoff ride on May 6th, Chapter President Tom Johnson organized and led 33 motorcycles on a parade past Mike Johnston’s home. Mike and his family were outside waving as each rider passed by in single file and made some noise for Mike.

The group, including mermbers from IMRG North Coast Cleveland, assembled at Bair’s Indian Motorcycle. The cadre of bikes then rumbled to an elementary school to stage for the parade. The motorcycles were decorated with Amercian flags and Marine Corp flags for our favorite Marine - Mike Johnston. Mike was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in late 2021 and has not able to ride. The parade was a little thunder for him.

Social Media Director Chris Weisgarber and Membership Director Maria Weisgarber assembled the video below.

The group then rode to lunch in Kent and ice cream in Hartville. What a great start to the 2023 season!
