Axe Throwing Recap

On Saturday, January 22nd 15 of us gathered at All American Axe Throwing in Canton. We didn’t know exactly what we were in for, but we had a hunch we’d have a good time…and we were right. So it turns out throwing the axe is the easy part; getting the axe to stick in the wood…not so easy! Some of us bounced it on the floor more than anything else.

After some warm up, the gauntlet was thrown down for a competition, and it was ON! Logan H, John B, David W, Wanda C, Eddie V and his wife Val and new members Mike H and his wife Baylee (Lane 1) faced off against Chris W, Maria W, Hank K, Tom R and his guest Jodi and Brock S and his guest Kelly (Lane 2). In the end, it was no contest. Lane 1 won handily 84-51, thanks to ringers Logan H (who brought his own axes) and Eddie V. Top thrower of the night goes to Mike H, though, scoring 24 points in the competition, plus multiple bulls eyes in warmup.

Afterwards we all headed to Palombo’s in North Canton for dinner, drinks and an all around good time as we contemplated what we should do in February…stay tuned!
