April’s First Monthly Meeting was No Joke!

By Kevin Irwin

IMRG Chapter #1963 held its first regular monthly meeting on April 4th with 16 members in attendence.

President Tom Johnson started the meeting right at 7pm.

  • Pet Rescue Update - After visiting a local rescue, the search for a local pet rescue continues. A new suggestion was Paws Fur Life which serves Canton/Massillon Ohio. Once this is confirmed, not only will a cash donation be made from the T-shirt sale, but the chapter will be working with Bair’s to launch a supply drive. Stay tuned!

  • IMRG Regional Coordinator Bryan Moore dropped in for a meet and greet, as well as provide an IMRG update. There is currently no President for the IMRG - there will be news soon on how that will be filled.  There are ongoing discussion about creating regional patches.  Finally, he shared some news that Indian Motorcycle confirmed they are sticking with current branding. They asked chapters to refrain from engaging hecklers in social media.

  • Regional Coordinator Bryan Moore also highlighted a Regional Ride in Gettysburg on June 1st though the 3rd. Check out these links

  • Ride Updates

    • 5/6 - Kickoff Ride: We are surprising Mike Johnson with a parade past his home. Details are being finalized and Tom is confirming breakfast.

    • 5/27 - Ironton Armory Overnighter - Riders need to make hotel reservations by April 28th. Details in Members Only Ride Calendar. Kevin will include details in an email reminder.

    • 6/10 - Buckeye Butt Buster:  Tom and Chris indicated that you will receive a pin, but no patch. There is a considerable amount of paperwork to make this happen. To get this order, Tom is asking all interested riders to register by May 6th through email.  Kevin will include an email button in a future email.
