Thirteen bikes and Fourteen passengers took a nice Sunday ride to Mohican State Park and the the Ohio Mochican-Memorial Shrine.

It was hot morning and a hotter afternoon but light traffic on OH-93 and OH-39 made the trip through Millersburg, Walnut Creek, Nashville, and Loudonville airy and quick.

The riders entered Mochican State Park on Park Road 51, the back door, that twisted through the pine scented forest. We picnicked at the Gorge Overlook Shelter.

The group continued the ride through thickly forested state park and arrived at the Pleasant Hill Lake and dam. For a quick photo opportunity.

Finally, the group traveled to the Mohican-Memorial SHrine tucked away in a peaceful corner of Mohican-Memorial State Forest. The shrine is a place where families, friends and ordinary citizens can pause to reflect on Ohioans killed in World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Persian Gulf War, and the Afghanistan and Iraq operations. The Ohio Mohican-Memorial Shrine is the state's official monument to her nearly 20,000 sons and daughters who died in those conflicts. The grounds are beautiful and the memorial is amazing. This is a must see stop if you are motorcycling in the Loudonville area.

The refreshed group then headed back home to Canal Fulton OH for ice cream at Dairy Queen. We had wide open roads with very little traffic. We hit one of everyone’s favorite roads OH-515 out of Walnut Creek.

All in all a great Sunday ride with a round trip total of 166 miles!
